 Fine Arts ProgramMinimize

The Fine Arts Program is an expanded program of daily instruction that integrates rigorous academic curriculum with an innovative arts program.

  • The school day is extended by 20 minutes to provide additional academic instruction time and a daily fine arts elective block in addition to the regular arts curriculum.
  • All students in Grades 1-5 select arts electives that are taught in 40-minute blocks daily.
Kindergarten students rotate through a variety of core arts classes throughout the year.
  • Students are required to take at least one semester of piano in our state-of-the art piano lab sometime during their 1st through 5th years at Centennial.
  • Local artists from dance, theater, visual arts, and music teach intensive classes and present assemblies during the arts block.
  • Student performances and art exhibits are held throughout the school year.
  • Challenging curriculum appeals to students with a variety of learning styles and abilities.
